2. Announcement
The BALTECH scholarship is announced four times a year over the web-page and through the International Relations Offices of the BALTECH universities.
Application deadlines, February 15, May 15, September 15, November 15, 2010.

3. Eligibility requirements
The BALTECH scholarships are open for bachelor (minimum second year), master or Ph.D students at any of the BALTECH universities and within any study field offered by the universities. New for this year, is that also teaching staff up to 35 years of age can apply.
The BALTECH scholarship is open only for inter-BALTECH university mobility. Exception is made for conferences/symposiums.
A substantial part of scholarships should be made available to cover participation at summer school courses.

4. Coverage
The BALTECH scholarships are meant to cover subsistence, travel and participation costs for a maximum period of twelve weeks. The scholarship is meant for studies, teaching, research projects, conferences/ symposiums and for practical training at universities and/or companies.
The number of scholarships and the amounts are fixed annually at the BALTECH rector’s conference.

5. Application
The following documents shall be handed in to the Secretariat:
- BALTECH scholarship application form
- Copies of academic transcripts
- A letter of recommendation from the university.
Applications should be made available to the board members.

6. Selection
The BALTECH secretariat is responsible for the evaluation process, whereby consideration should be given to academic success and a proper balance of students between BALTECH universities.
The BALTECH secretariat is accountable to the board.
Students should be involved in the selection proves.
The Secretariat should hear the evaluation of other universities, and inform all board members if necessary.

7. Reporting
Each scholar shall submit a two page report in written to the respective IRO and BALTECH secretariat, not later than one month after completion of the assignment, indicating the main achievements and the benefits of the scholarship.
